Karamunting Fruit Melastoma malabathricum have scietific name Melastoma malabathricum, and synonym Rhodomyrtus tomentosa or Ochthocharis bornensis Bl. Karamunting Fruit comes from India, East to South China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Southern Malaysia, and Sulawesi. Plants of woody shrub with a height of 4 m. Karamunting is tolerant of full sun and puddles. Can growing in places with a height of 300 m, rarely found in areas with an altitude of 1300 m above sea level. The location of the cross-facing leaves and the three leaf bones of the base, oval, pointed and tapered base, flat edges, shiny upper surface, while the bottom surface is rough because it has fine hairs, 5-7 cm long and 2-3 cm.
